About the role:
As a Water Quality Officer, you’ll apply your technical expertise to protect public health and ensure the delivery of safe drinking and recycled water across our region. In this hands-on role, you’ll balance field sampling, testing and investigations with data analysis, reporting, and collaboration across teams — all contributing to the continuous improvement of our water quality management systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Carry out field sampling, testing, and monitoring across drinking and recycled water systems.
- Analyse water quality data to identify trends and emerging issues.
- Lead investigations into water quality excursions and prepare reports with practical recommendations.
- Support quality systems including HACCP, ISO22000 and Water Management Plans.
- Collaborate with operations and project teams to build awareness and drive best practice in water safety.

- Qualifications in science or engineering (chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, or related field).

- Current C-Class Driver’s Licence.
