About the role
As Compliance Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in supporting operational compliance, financial governance, and data integrity across Defence sites. You’ll work closely with the Operations Compliance Manager to ensure workflows meet required standards, risks are identified early, and continuous improvement is embedded in day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Compliance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and report on compliance with WHS, Defence, and environmental standards across operational workflows.
- Data Integrity and Analysis: Maintain high-quality data across estate systems and analyse trends to support risk mitigation and performance improvement.
- Financial Governance Support: Assist in reviewing quotes, invoices, and work orders to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and contribute to initiatives that streamline operations and reduce cost.
- Audit and Documentation: Support internal audits and maintain accurate records to ensure readiness for external reviews and Defence reporting requirements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with Base teams and Defence stakeholders to resolve compliance issues and support service excellence.
- Digital Tools and Systems: Utilise estate data systems (e.g., GEMS, GIS, Service Connect) to monitor compliance and support digital transformation efforts.
- Team Support: Collaborate with the Operations Compliance Manager and broader team to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Operations Management, Compliance, Finance, or a related field
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving compliance issues
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Experience working with operational data, financial documentation, or compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with estate data systems (e.g., GEMS, GIS, Service Connect)
- A commitment to safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police Check.
