A great opportunity for a Storeperson to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at the Townsville Defence base. As a Storeperson, you will be responsible for conducting stores tasks, including account management and stocktakes. Reporting to the Site Leader, you will assist with the effective and efficient delivery and control of stores and equipment, with a focus on increasing productivity for the Sites maintenance function.

About the role
- Unload goods and check them against order forms
- Catalogue or label items with storage details
- Place goods in bins and on racks, or stack bulky items on floors
- Complete orders by selecting goods from shelves and checking them off appropriate lists
- Package and send out completed orders to customers
- Move heavy packages using forklift machinery
- Obtain details of the location and quantity of items in stock, using visual display units or computers
- Enter details of received delivery slips, requisitions and invoices into computers
About you:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail or stores environment
- Comfortable using computer systems; SAP experience is required.
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to pass a Defence Security Clearance
