The Opportunity
Ventia is hiring a motivated Drilling Offsider to join our exceptional operations team at Olympic Dam. This role operates primarily on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster; however, flexibility is essential, as additional days may be required to meet operational needs. Return flights from Adelaide to Roxby Downs, accommodation, and meals are provided while on shift.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in rig operations, including machinery handling, rig moves, and equipment setup to support efficient drilling activities.
- Safely operate machinery and vehicles, conduct prestart checks, and ensure safe transportation of equipment to and from site.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols on-site, including wearing appropriate PPE and actively contributing to toolbox meetings.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring correct weight distribution, securing loads properly, and operating forklifts safely.
- Support equipment maintenance tasks, including sharpening drill bits and assisting with machinery upkeep for operational efficiency.
About you:
- Hold a current HR driver’s licence (essential - synchro/unrestricted preferred).
- Additional tickets/qualifications: First Aid, Forklift, Front End Loader, WAH, and Cert II in Drilling Operations. (highly regarded)
- Previous labouring/offsider experience and strong mechanical aptitude.
- A strong focus on safety and experience following safety protocols.
- Physically fit and comfortable in a hands-on, physically demanding role.
- Reliable, punctual, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willing to complete pre-employment checks that include (but are not limited to): in-clinic medical (including drug and alcohol testing), police check and reference checks.
