About the role

You will be providing specialist electrical consultancy service in the areas of operation, maintenance and construction of electrical, instrumentation and SCADA type assets.

What you can expect with this role
- Working out in the field, you will witness the ongoing electrical performance of Water Corporation’s water and wastewater assets. You can read the likelihood of faults and breakdowns occurring, recommending cost-effective fixes.
- Running audits, inspections and assessments means you are better equipped to monitor performance and assess the risk of failures happening in future.
- With your wider perspective, you’ll be able to build and provide a centre of expertise for electrical equipment maintenance, repair and refurb.
- Speaking of operation and maintenance planning, your advice and direction to your service delivery colleagues will support them with any forecasting issues.
- You may be required to be HV authorised person for the region as well as the electrical nominee, under Water Corporation’s electrical contractor’s licence, plus be involved in electrical commissioning work from fabrication to site acceptance testing.
- An expectation to travel to various sites across the north west region which is compensated accordingly
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- Electrical Worker’s Licence endorsed “Electrician’s Licence” or Engineering Degree with experience in relevant fields.
- Considerable experience in the operations and maintenance of water services infrastructure
- Considerable experience in electrical installation
- Considerable experience with electrical testing and commissioning
