We are recruitinganAnimal Ethics Compliance Officer / Animal Ethics Committee [AEC] Executive Officer to join ourQuality AssuranceandComplianceteam.
Reporting to theSenior Manager Quality AssuranceSite Complianceyou willbe responsible forpromoting Regulatory compliance excellence with respect to the care and use of animals. Likewise, you will administer andfacilitatethe business of the AEC efficiently, and with a continuous improvement imperative. You willdevelop key relationships with internal and external stakeholders in support of andtoachieve crucialbusinessobjectives. You willdeliver training seminars and provide specificexpertiseand advice to Institutional staffregardingstrict compliance with the relevant legislation and mandatory codes of practice.You willadminister the databaseused by theInstitutetomanage AEC approved projects, andwill bedirectly responsibleformaintaining, reviewing, and updating, within the Quality Management System,ALLanimal ethics governance and animal ethics database documentation.

UndertakeALLsecretariat and administrativeresponsibilities of the Animal Ethics Committee (AEC) Executive Officer for the CSL Limited Animal Ethics Committee
Undertakeadministrative,functionaland reportingresponsibilities of the Animal Ethics Compliance Officer on behalf of the Institute [CSL Limited]
Maintain, review and update procedures tofacilitatecompliance with thePrevention for Cruelty to Animals Act 1986 (Vic), the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Regulations2019andtheAustralian Code for the Care and Use of Animals for Scientific Purposes 8thedn2013 [2021 Update]
Ensure all activities involving thecare anduse of animalscomply withthe relevant legislation and mandatory codes ofpractice
Promote ongoing Regulatory compliance to the Code across thebusiness
Support the implementation of Reduction, Replacement, Refinement in all areas of animaluse
Your skills and experience
Degree in Veterinary Science recognised by the Veterinary Surgeons Board [Victoria]
Strong understanding of Victoriananimal welfarelegislation and mandatory codes of practice
Experience inmaking detailed submissions to, and/or administering an Animal Ethics Committee
Previousexperience in a Quality and/or compliance rolewithin the pharmaceutical industry
Demonstratedhigh levelwritten and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people
Collaborative teamwork approach as well as an ability to workautonomously
