About the role:
Join us on a 12month fixed term contract and play a pivotal role in shaping Unitywater’s future. As a Senior Performance Analyst, you’ll help steer investment decisions and portfolio performance across major initiatives that keep our communities supplied with safe, reliable water services. You’ll translate data into direction, partnering with delivery teams, influencing strategic outcomes, and embedding frameworks that ensure our projects deliver real value. If you’re energised by collaboration, continuous improvement and work that moves the needle, this role has your name all over it.
What you’ll drive:
Bring insights that guide smarter investment
- Review, analyse and challenge project investment proposals
- Support prioritisation processes
- Transform performance data into actionable insights for senior leaders
- Build templates and dashboards that track value delivered
- Strengthen our benefits realisation approach and evolve performance frameworks
Champion project success from start to finish
- Partner with delivery teams to align initiatives with strategy
- Monitor progress against KPIs, budgets and milestones — spotlighting risks early
- Lead lookbacks and lessons learned to improve future decisions
- Provide support and advice to project teams on governance, frameworks, templates and reporting
Influence through relationships and coaching
- Become a trusted advisor to project and program managers
- Uplift capability on governance tools, systems and processes
- Build strong networks across Unitywater and external partners
- Role model safety and help us achieve performance with care

Must-Haves
- Degree or post-grad in business, engineering, project management, or related field
- Demonstrated experience in performance analysis, PMO or complex project environments
- Expertise in program/project financials, risk and issue tracking, and benefits analysis
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement — influencing without authority
- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and portfolio reporting
- Confident presenter with excellent facilitation and communication capability
- Ability to juggle competing priorities and deliver under pressure
- Problem-solving mindset with structured thinking and planning capability
Nice-to-Have
- Professional certifications (PRINCE2, MSP, MoP, PMP, AIPM or similar)
- Experience in change management and strategic communication
- Background in economic analysis or portfolio optimisation
