The Business Development Coordinator provides essential administrative, coordination and operational support to the Heads of BD Transactions and BDTherapeutic Areasand their respective teams. This role ensures smooth functioning of day-to-day operations, enabling senior leaders to focus on strategic activities and cross-functional enterprisetasks. It serves asa central pointoforganization,communicationand logistical support across the broader BD function.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Executive Support for BD Leadership
Provide high-quality executiveassistanceto the Heads of BD Transactions and BDTA, including complex calendar management, travel arrangements,correspondence management,meetingschedulingand expense reconciliation.
Team & Operational Coordination
Support operational needs across the BD Transactions and BDTAteams, including tracking team priorities, coordinating deadlines,maintainingsharedcalendarsand managing teamlogistics.
Assistwiththe planning and delivery ofregular and ad-hocteam meetings, workshops, offsites, trainingsessionsand events.
Document & Process Management
Prepare, format, proofread, andorganizedocuments, presentations, status updates, and internal communicationsrequiredfor BD activities.
Maintain shared systems, departmental files, collaboration sites, and document repositories to ensure accessibility and version control.
Governance & Meeting Support
Assistin the coordination of BD-related governance meetings, including agenda development, scheduling, stakeholdercommunicationand capturing action items.
Stakeholder Interface & Communication
Support cross-functional engagement by coordinating meetings across R&D, Legal/IP, Finance, Strategy, Commercial and Regulatory partners.
General Administrative Support
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent vocational or technical training
Certificates, qualifications or training in business administration, office management or project coordination (preferred).
3-5 years of experience in administrative, coordination or executive support roles.
Experience supporting senior leaders in a corporate, scientific, pharmaceutical or global environment (preferred).
Demonstrated ability managing complex scheduling, international travel, and high-volume administrative workflows that cross multiple time zones and geographies.
Comfort working in fast-paced, matrixed teams with multiple stakeholders.
Exposure to or experience supporting Business Development, Corporate Development, Commercial or R&D teams is strongly preferred.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail, accuracy and quality in document preparation and administrative tasks.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, collaboration tools and digital workplace systems.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proactive, reliable and service-oriented mindset.
Understanding of Business Development workflows and ability to coordinate activities related to evaluations, transactions, negotiations, cross-functional meetings or governance processes
Operate in a fast-paced, global, matrixed environment requiring coordination with stakeholders across time zones and geographies.
High frequency of remote collaboration using virtual meeting tools and digital workflow systems.
The expected hourly rate range for this position is $46.00 - $55.00. Please note this hourly rate range reflects the minimum and maximum hourly pay that CSL expects to pay for this position in Waltham, Massachusetts as of the time of this posting. Individual base salary for a successful candidate is determined by qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies, and other relevant factors.
