About the Role
An exciting permanent part time opportunity exists for a suitability qualified Power Distribution professional with a passion for maximising performance of electrical/instrument (EI) infrastructure on site. We require support in this role on a part-time day shift roster, working as a key player in the Electrical team at Wagerup Refinery.
Does planning and scheduling, problem solving and continuous improvement of daily High Voltage (HV) activities spark your interest? This position will see you engaged and proactive in supporting the operation and ongoing maintenance of HV equipment!
In this role you will:
Play a critical role to review and audit limitations of our EI infrastructure, implementing recommendations and corrective actions when operating outside of these,
Coordinate plant services and plan requirements in supporting and achieving our Refinery's EI infrastructure lifetime performance,
Administrate the HV access permit system aligned to the Refinery plan to optimise isolations and restoration activities,
Lead High Voltage shut down planning and scheduling.
Maintain Level 3 HV Switching competency,
Lead High Voltage shut down planning and scheduling
Work closely with customers to develop and see-through equipment maintenance strategies accountable for long term health and integrity of our Refinery!

What you can bring to the role:
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Electrical trade qualification with ‘A’ grade electrical licence.
Level 3 HV switching and a wiliness to undertake Alcoa specific switching training.
Experience with maintenance and distribution, resource planning & scheduling for employee workgroups and contractors.
Experience developing risk assessments for HV activities.
Strong networks to facilitate and sustain efficient work practices and outcomes.
Positive contribution to safety, the environment and workplace by complying and upholding standards and regulations.
Passion for innovation and fostering change to support cost reductions and productivity improvement initiatives.
Ability to liaise and influence across various levels of the organisation.
A sound track record in pro-active problem solving with your use of initiative and a strong desire to continuously improve business performance.
