About the Role
Join our Alcoa team as the Maintenance & Reliability Manager, based at Pinjarra Refinery, where you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping equipment reliability, asset integrity, and long‑term maintenance strategy for one of the world’s leading alumina operations.
In this role, you will:
Join a high‑achieving team focused on executing the plan.
Provide functional leadership to the site maintenance organisation and direct leadership to the central and unplanned maintenance, powerhouse, reliability engineering and planning teams.
Shape and implement refinery-wide maintenance and reliability improvement strategies.
Drive improvements in equipment availability, cost effectiveness, and long-term asset integrity.
Lead the development of innovative processes, technologies and maintenance methodologies that improve safety, production continuity and asset performance.
Influence location business strategy, operating plans and budgetary processes.
Serve as the site subject matter expert (SME) for reliability engineering and maintenance systems, maintaining compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.

What you can bring to the role
Engineering or relevant tertiary qualifications (required).
Proven ability to lead maintenance and reliability teams within large-scale industrial or processing environments.
Proven ability to work in a multi-discipline team to deliver on location wide priorities.
Strong capability in equipment management, asset integrity, maintenance planning and reliability improvement frameworks.
Demonstrated success developing and implementing maintenance strategies that improve equipment uptime and reduce costs.
Ability to navigate regulatory and compliance obligations (e.g., MSIR, dangerous goods, electrical, gas) and ensure safe work practices.
A practical, solutions‑focused mindset with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
Ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary teams through change.
