We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson with a strong safety mindset and meticulous attention to detail, based at our Shenton Park depot.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in Electrical & Instrumentation work, ideally within remote or decentralised operations
- Ability to work independently in remote locations and make sound, safety‑critical decisions
- High focus on detail and quality assurance to ensure water quality and safety guidelines are consistently met
- Resilience and adaptability to work in challenging environments (e.g. vandalism sites, bushfire-affected areas, harsh conditions)
- Seeking someone with positive attitude, strong teamwork, accountability, and safety focus.
About the Environment You Will Work In
This role offers the chance to help protect Perth’s safe drinking water by working on critical borefields and water quality instrumentation assets.
You’ll work across remote metropolitan sites, delivering essential services with a high level of trust and responsibility. We encourage independent thinking, problem‑solving, and ownership in the field.
At the same time, you’ll be part of a strong, supportive team that works closely together when challenges arise. The work can involve harsh conditions such as heat, bushfire environments, and occasional vandalism, making it both demanding and highly rewarding.

What you can expect with this role
- Keep Systems Running Smoothly: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance while installing essential electrical and instrumentation components.
- High Voltage Expertise: Conduct HV switching when required, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.
- Master Advanced Systems: Work confidently with PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, and communication systems.
- Lead & Mentor: Support and develop team members, contributing to overall capability uplift.

For this role, we are looking for talent with:
- A recognised Electrical Trade Certificate, with a specialisation in Instrumentation (Dual Trade)
- ACMA restricted cabling registration (where required)
- Competency and authorisation to perform High Voltage switching
We are seeking someone with substantial, hands-on experience in a similar role to confidently perform independent electrical and instrumentation work in remote environments and meet regulatory safety requirements.
