Position Summary
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) / Medical Expert is responsible for executing Medical Affairs strategy in Taiwan, supporting evidence generation, scientific exchange, and stakeholder engagement aligned with the influenza portfolio.
This role serves as a critical scientific partner to external stakeholders (e.g., KOLs, health authorities) and internal cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality medical input to support policy shaping, clinical adoption, and lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Knowledge Generation
Support local evidence generation aligned with medical strategy (RWE, epidemiology, health economics)
Contribute to development of data packages supporting NIP, reimbursement, and policy discussions
Collaborate with regional/global teams on clinical and scientific initiatives
Ensure scientific robustness and compliance in all research-related activities
2. Knowledge Exchange
Establish and maintain scientific engagement with key external stakeholders, including KOLs, professional societies, and health authorities (e.g., TCDC, TFDA)
Deliver high-quality scientific discussions and respond to unsolicited medical inquiries
Support advisory boards, round table meetings, and expert engagements
Expand stakeholder network across relevant specialties (e.g., infectious diseases, pulmonology, geriatrics, family medicine, pediatrics)
3. Knowledge Translation
Deliver scientific presentations and medical education to healthcare professionals
Support local congresses, symposia, and scientific communication activities
Ensure accurate and compliant dissemination of medical information
4. Internal Collaboration
Provide medical insights to cross-functional teams (Commercial, Regulatory, Market Access, PV)
Support internal training and capability building
Act as a liaison between local and regional/global Medical teams
Qualifications & Experience
Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or related field (MD, PharmD, PhD preferred)
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Medical Affairs, clinical practice, or related healthcare field
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry, regulatory environment, and compliance requirements
Experience in vaccines, infectious diseases, or public health is highly preferred
Core Competencies
Strong scientific and clinical knowledge with ability to communicate complex data effectively
Proven ability to build and maintain external stakeholder relationships
Strategic thinking with understanding of policy and healthcare environment
High level of integrity and compliance mindset
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
