The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Human Resources Business Partner, Operations, as the Director, HR Site Lead for our Holly Springs site, you will hold an HR leadership role and be responsible for driving and implementing CSL’s HR and functional strategies at major CSL manufacturing sites. You will act as the primary HR partner to the Site Leadership Team, leading the site HR agenda, and ensuring alignment with both global and local business objectives. In this role, you will be pivotal in enhancing employee engagement, fostering a values-driven culture, and improving business performance through effective people solutions and programmes. You will provide strategic and operational HR leadership, managing complex industrial relations, and contributing to workforce planning and organisational transformation initiatives.
This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule. #LI-hybrid
The Role:
- Lead the implementation of CSL’s HR and functional business unit strategies at the site, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and local requirements.
- Act as the principal HR partner to the Site Leadership Team, providing strategic advice, leadership coaching, and facilitating their effectiveness as a leadership group.
- Partner with Global HRBPs on organisation design and transformation initiatives, supporting change management, restructures, and site-specific programmes.
- Develop and deliver solutions across talent management, performance management, change management, capability development, strategic workforce planning, employee engagement, and employee/industrial relations.
- Develop succession plans and talent pipelines for the Site Leadership Team in collaboration with global HRBP and Talent Partner.
- Design and implement local programmes to drive culture, inclusion and belonging, performance, and employee experience, in consultation with global HRBP and COEs.
- Use data analytics and business acumen to inform decisions and drive site-level workforce planning and HR initiatives.
- Work with the Global IR Lead and the IR team to set and drive proactive strategies for local industrial relations, including setting local strategy for collective negotiations and engaging with unions/works council as appropriate.
- Act as the HR leader across all HR functions at the site, ensuring consistent application of policies, procedures, and initiatives, and representing HR on the Site Leadership Team.
- Champion the CSL Way, acting as a role model and culture ambassador across the site.
- Maintain open, regular communication with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity in all HR matters.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
Your Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field (minimum); Master’s degree or professional HR qualification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years’ progressive HR experience, preferably including generalist and IR/ER experience within a complex, regulated, or innovative business environment (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biotech, life sciences, or similar global sector).
- Proven ability to align and execute global HR strategy at the site level.
- Strong local IR/ER knowledge and experience, with a track record of managing collective negotiations and complex employee relations matters.
- Demonstrated skills in site-level workforce planning, talent management, and organisational transformation.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders and managing multiple stakeholder relationships across functions and geographies.
- Advanced skills in HR analytics and data-driven decision making.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to have difficult conversations and drive engagement.
- Strong problem-solving ability, resilience, adaptability, and the capacity to deal with ambiguity and change.
- High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.

Location & Travel:
- This is a site office-based at a CSL manufacturing or major site.
