About the role
We have a permanent opportunity for a Senior Operations Assistant based in Esperance.
This role is ideal for an experienced and motivated administration professional looking to make a meaningful impact.
You will be a key member of a small leadership team, supporting a multidisciplinary workforce across the South Coastal District in the Great Southern Region.
Together, the team delivers essential water and wastewater services to the community.
By building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and central business teams, you will help ensure smooth day-to-day operations while meeting both customer and organisational needs.

Key Responsibilities
Safety First
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Identify, report, and help mitigate hazards
Procurement & Inventory
- Procure goods and services via E-Procurement systems
- Manage goods receipting and minor depot contracts
- Monitor and maintain district store inventory, including stocktakes and audits
- Prepare replenishment packs for mobile stores
Planning & Operational Support
- Provide short-term operational support during peak periods (e.g. dispatch, call handling)
- Participate in planning meetings and maintain action registers
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare daily performance and KPI trend reports
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and customer charter standards
Systems & IT Support
- Provide first-level support across systems including SAP, Fieldworks, Grange, Lite Spatial, Site Safe, and NetMaps
- Create and update work orders as required
Financial Administration
- Assist with accurate and timely invoice processing and cost allocation
- Process ad hoc payments where required
Customer Service
- Respond to customer and operational enquiries via phone and direct appropriately
Skills & Experience
Proven experience delivering high-quality business and customer support
Strong background across a broad range of administrative functions
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and SAP (or similar ERP systems)
Sound understanding of operations and customer service within a utilities environment
Current Driver’s Licence
Forklift (High Risk) Licence, or willingness to obtain
