About the Role
Step into the role of Manufacturing Systems Specialist, where you will play a key part in supporting and advancing the Operational Technology environment at the Pinjarra refinery. This is a critical position delivering site level administration, technical expertise, and ongoing support for the digital and OT systems that enable refinery operations.
As the subject matter expert for refining OT infrastructure, you will act as the primary escalation point for OT incidents while ensuring systems are maintained, optimised, and secure. You’ll collaborate closely with global ITAS teams and on-site stakeholders to deliver reliable and innovative technology solutions.
Key purpose & responsibilities
Administer and support the Pinjarra refinery OT environment.
Provide backup support to MSS peers across other Alcoa locations.
Manage software licensing, cybersecurity compliance, and OT governance.
Support hardware infrastructure including procurement, configuration, and backups.
Act as the primary escalation point for site OT issues.
Provide domain and system management and technical support to engineers and operations teams.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and deliver infrastructure solutions aligned to strategic needs.
Support planning and execution of infrastructure projects and improvement initiatives.

What you can bring to the role
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent experience in OT system administration.
Experience in process information systems, with an understanding of OT applications, process control, and SCADA environments.
Proficiency in Windows Server administration and VMware ESXi environments.
Experience with backup and recovery tools such as Veritas and Veeam, along with ServiceNow platform usage.
Working knowledge of Cisco IOS administration and network configuration.
Strong collaborative mindset with a team-oriented approach, building effective working relationships across functions.
This position also participates in an on-call roster (approximately every two weeks) providing after-hours support for the Pinjarra site. An on-call allowance is provided, and while a site vehicle is currently available during rostered periods, this arrangement may evolve in the future.
