About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Contractor Management Superintendent to lead the refinery's contractor and contracted services function. In this pivotal leadership role, you'll ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of contractor resources that support critical refinery operations and maintenance activities.
Working closely with operational leaders, contractors, and key stakeholders across site, you'll be responsible for driving contractor performance, ensuring compliance, optimising resource planning, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the refinery has the right people, services, and capabilities in place to safely deliver production and maintenance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the contractor services function, ensuring contractor resources are safely deployed, appropriately skilled, and available to support operational and maintenance requirements.
Build strong relationships with contractors, internal customers, and key stakeholders, providing leadership and guidance to ensure service delivery, contract obligations, and business objectives are achieved.
Oversee contractor performance and contract execution, including safety, quality, schedule adherence, cost management, compliance auditing, and performance reporting.
Drive strategic workforce and maintenance planning, ensuring contractor requirements align with operational priorities, maintenance schedules, regulatory approvals, and future business needs.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives by identifying efficiencies, streamlining processes, implementing best practices, and delivering sustainable cost and performance improvements.
Maintain accountability for contractor governance, including safety management, environmental performance, compliance with site standards and CRPs, risk management, and contractor development.

What you can bring to the role
Extensive experience in heavy industry, resources industry or a process environment
Experience in managing multiple stakeholders.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (highly regarded but not essential).
Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and be able to demonstrate their ability in influencing conflict resolution and negotiation
Outstanding communication skills with strong attention to detail
