About the role
Ventia is seeking an experiencedMaintenance Supervisor in collaboration with two other supervisorsto lead a multi-trade team of 6 in delivering planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance across Defence sites.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Oversee planned maintenance and repair works, including audits and optimisation of assets.
- Provide on-going support and leadership to the trades and maintenance team
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and Defence contracts.
- Actively supports and participates in transformation programs.
- Ensures work order allocation to timesheets is accurate.
- Oversees contractor safety frameworks including SWMS, onsite compliance to Ventia Critical Risk Protocols.
- Proactive contractor management of all key performance metrics within the month.
- Ensure contractual compliance through site assessments and initiate necessary work orders or quotes.
- Manage client requests and feedback, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
About you
- A tradesperson or engineer, or background in project management or facilities management
- Demonstrated strong leadership capabilities - Essential
- High level of computer literacy - Essential
- Proven experience in building facilities, gained through project-based work and/or hands-on trade experience
- An experienced supervisor who is off the tools looking for development opportunities within a large company.
- Working knowledge of WHS legislation, WHS committees and safety culture development.
- Previous experience in Stakeholder management, supervising subcontractors and liaising directly with clients.
- A valid C-class driver's license.
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police.
