Prison Cleaner – Opportunity in Lara

We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented individuals to join our cleaning team at the Correctional Centre in Lara, VIC.
This position offers a structured work environment and the potential to transition into a permanent role after a few months.
Position Overview
Role: Prison Cleaner
Contract: Casual (with potential for permanent placement after a few months)
Pay: $32.31 per hour plus Superannuation
Location: Marngoneet Correctional Centre, Lara, VIC
Hours:
- Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Occasional Extended Shift until 2:30 PM when required

Your Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize offices, reception areas, workshops, bathrooms, and communal spaces
Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and surfaces
Perform bio-cleaning tasks when required
What You Will Nee
- A valid Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle to travel to and from the worksite.
- To be physical ability to kneel, lift, and stand for extended periods
- A recent National Police Check (under 6 months)
- Ability to pass a medical assessment and random drug and alcohol testing
