We’re seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson with a strong safety mindset and attention to detail, based at Albany.
This permanent full-time position is available from 12th January 2026.

The ideal candidate will have:
Proven E&I experience, preferably in remote operations.
Ability to work independently and make safety-critical decisions.
High focus on quality assurance to meet water safety standards.
Resilience to work in challenging environments (e.g. vandalism, bushfires).
Our assets are in remote regional areas, requiring a proactive and safety-conscious approach to protect infrastructure and public health.

What you can expect with this role
Keep Systems Running Smoothly. Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance while installing essential electrical and instrumentation components.
High Voltage Expertise. Write, Check & Authorise High Voltage Switching Programs. Carry out High Voltage switching when needed, ensuring operational efficiency.
Master Advanced Systems. Work on PLC, SCADA, Instrumentation, and communication systems with confidence.
Lead & Mentor. Supervise, support, and help develop team members to strengthen overall expertise. Participate in the planning & scheduling process to optimise resource utilisation.
Project Management. Plan & execute small projects utilizing internal and external resources.
Problem-Solving at Its Best. Plan tasks effectively while tackling water operational challenges head-on.
Grow Your Skills. Stay ahead with all necessary training to enhance your knowledge and capabilities.
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- Electrical Trade Certificate
- Instrumentation Certificate
- HV Switching Competent or Authorised as required (District Specific)
- Relevant High-Risk Licences
- WA ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated computer literacy (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience in High Voltage operations (District Specific)
- Experience in the use of SCBA and atmospheric monitoring equipment (District Specific)
- Knowledge of confined space entry requirements (District Specific)
