We are currently looking to engage an experienced Pest Technician to join our Defence Base Services contract in the RAAF East Sale base. This is a varied role, working at both an operational and strategic level in order to identify, develop and implement programs of work to continually improve and evolve our Environmental management outcomes for Defence.
Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- All operationl requirements are met, including thorough pest inspections of all buildings we are contracted to inspect on the estate, as per the approval Pest Management Plan (PMP)
- Assist and update the PMP on an annual basis
- To coordinate and implement professional pest and vermin controls to protect the health and infrastructure of the estate, including Vector control at International Points of Entry and Marine Pest Monitoring (where required)
- To oversee the professional implementation of vector management activities including monitoring, reporting and control
- All operations are conducted safely

- Pest and Vermin qualifications (such as Certificate III in Pest Management, and Course in Termite Biology and Control to Existing Buildings)
- Open motor vehicle licence
- The ability to write inspection reports
- The use of a GIS enabled mobile device to record inspection and treatment activities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- An ability to interact effectively with technical staff, subcontractors, senior military officers and Client representatives
- Be an Australian citizen
- Be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defence Security Clearance
