In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, we are seeking an Airfield Support Officer to support the delivery of consistent, efficient, and compliant processes across Ventia’s airfield operations at RAAF Pearce. This position contains shift work and may require travel to support additional defence sites at times.
The Airfield Support Officer plays a vital role in the day-to-day delivery of aerodrome management and air terminal operations across designated Defence Estates. This position is responsible for carrying out operational tasks that maintain compliance with aviation regulations, ensure aerodrome safety, and support Defence capability.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Inspect all movement areas, markings, wind direction indicators, and perimeter fences
- General aviation safety and duties as requested by client.
- Work with other Base Services Contractors to coordinate remediation efforts
- Manage aerodrome lighting systems
- Organize and coordinate escort duties as required
- Manage air terminal operations, excluding security screening equipment and services
About you
- Experience in aerodrome operations, ground handling, or air terminal support – desirable.
- Understanding of aviation safety regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent coordination, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Willingness to undertake additional training and professional development provided by Ventia as required to ensure compliance with service delivery standards and operational requirements.
- Proficiency in operating ground support equipment such as baggage carts, ground power units and air conditioning units (required)
- Certificate I in Aerodrome Operations or relevant competency units.
- Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police Check
