An exciting opportunity for a Fitter Armourer to join our fun, collaborative, and hardworking Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Yallambie, VIC (30 minutes north of Melbourne CBD).

About the role
As a Fitter Armourer, you will use your highly detailed workmanship to inspect, repair, and recondition military hardware. As a qualified Fitter and Armourer, it will be your responsibility to provide direct embedded support and teamwork with Defence and Defence training activities to ensure hardware is functional and training objectives are achieved.
- Perform maintenance, servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on military hardware and Defence armaments
- Safely operate machinery to repair, manufacture or modify required parts
- Certify plant and equipment as serviceable and fit for purpose
- Provide occasional support to various Defence Bases across the state assisting with Armory maintenance. All travel, accommodation and Food paid for!
About you
- Possess a recognised Fitter and Turner OR Armourer qualification or equivalent
- Strong aptitude for technology and computer-based systems
- MR or HR License - Desirable
- Physically fit and enjoy hands-on work
- Must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
