About the role
Our asset commissioning team has a permanent opportunity based in our Leederville office for a Commissioning Manager supporting the effective commissioning and integration of new and upgraded assets across our metropolitan network. In this role, you’ll ensure that assets are commissioned safely, efficiently and in compliance with corporate standards, enabling successful transition into operational service. You’ll work closely with project teams, operations, contractors and technical experts to deliver high quality outcomes that support asset performance and business objectives.

What the role will involve
- Represent the Water Corporation as the principal's commissioning manager in major capital projects
- Responsible for ensuring the performance and functional requirements for new assets have been identified, tested safely & results are reported to the asset owner
- Review of various design and asset handover documents for the project team
- Preparation and review of commissioning plans, procedures, test plans and schedules
- Supervision and performance of field test sessions
- Functional review of SCADA & control systems
- Coordination of technical teams undertaking commissioning tests, along with report preparation
About you
- Degree qualification in engineering or a related discipline, or substantial operational and asset management experience in a capital intensive industry
- Demonstrated experience in asset commissioning, preferably within water, wastewater or utilities environments
- Strong understanding of commissioning processes, inspection and testing requirements
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Strong analytical, organisational and planning skills
- Ability to apply initiative and judgement within established guidelines to deliver outcomes
- A commitment to safety, compliance, equity and ethical conduct
