About the role
We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager – ERP Finance & Procurement to lead the function accountable for the delivery and performance of ERP Finance and Procurement services within the ERP & Corporate Systems platform in ITG. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient delivery and support of technology services that underpin critical corporate processes and align with Water Corporation’s strategic objectives.
The role leads a team of SAP specialists and is accountable for the full lifecycle and end‑to‑end service performance of ERP Finance and Procurement systems, ensuring stable, reliable and customer‑focused services are consistently delivered. You will be responsible for managing support activities across all tiers of service delivery, working with internal staff and Managed Service Providers to ensure seamless coordination, clear ownership and high‑quality service outcomes. A key focus is building team capability through coaching, mentoring and structured cross‑skilling to support current and future business needs.
You’ll collaborate with business stakeholders, peers across platforms and supporting technology teams to ensure the delivery of cohesive, integrated and high‑performing ERP services. This role also plays a critical part in application lifecycle governance, vendor performance management and planning for ongoing upgrades, optimisation initiatives and strategic improvements to the ERP landscape.

What the role will involve
In this role, you will:
- Leading the support and delivery of ERP Finance & Procurement systems, ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic goals.
- Managing service levels, incident resolution, and application change/release processes in collaboration with internal and external service providers.
- Acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for ERP-related projects and transitions.
- Overseeing application environments (development, test, production, training) and ensuring data integrity.
- Participating in roadmap development and lifecycle management of business applications.
- Providing input into vendor contracts, licensing, and performance reviews.
- Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, ethical standards, and relevant legislation.
- Leading and mentoring a team to foster a high-performance, safety-first culture.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders across ITG, Finance, and external partners.
Key skills and experience
To be successful, you will bring:
- Degree in Business Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Extensive experience managing ERP applications and support functions, ideally within a DevSecOps and Agile environment.
- ITIL Foundation Certificate (ITIL V4) and Agile certification.
- Proven leadership experience in managing delivery teams within large or complex organisations.
- Strong knowledge of application lifecycle management, change/release processes, and business systems.
- High-level analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive business improvements through technology.
- Experience working with geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders is desirable.
