As an experience Technical Supervisor, you will lead a high performing trades team to deliver maintenance, technical output, and high-quality service within our workshop environment. In this role you will oversee technical operations, ensure compliance with contractual standards and drive a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.

About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position where you will be responsible for supervising 10 direct reports, overseeing maintenance task allocation, workflow management, and the professional development of apprentices and trade personnel. You will play a critical part in ensuring maintenance activities meet Ventia’s quality, compliance, timeliness, and safety requirements.
A willingness to work flexibly and travel interstate/intrastate as needed (infrequent).
Key responsibilities
- Lead, manage, supervise and mentor technical personnel in the workshop
- Allocate maintenance tasks and ensure work processes follow the end-to-end maintenance process
- Provide guidance on technical procedures, compliance standards and training needs
- Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately documented in the Maintenance Management System
- Analyse and report on overdue work orders
- Conduct inspections, technical investigations, and prepare reports on material condition, reliability and defects
- Ensure full compliance with site quality assurance, safety programs and contract obligations
- Promote a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvements in operational efficiency
Required Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate strong leadership experience in maintenance teams, technical investigations, audits and inspections.
- Trade Certificate III or IV relevant to the supervised trade groups or equivalent experience
- Sound interpersonal communication skills
- Good computer skills including experience using maintenance management software systems
- Demonstrated understanding of safety., environmental and security obligations
- Strong analytical ability and sound judgement in coordinating multiple work projects
- A commitment to customer service excellence
- Ability to lead change initiatives
- Drivers licence and ability to obtain NV1 Defence Clearance (Australian Citizenship required)
