Ventia has proudly supported the Australian Defence Force for more than 30 years, ensuring Defence personnel receive the clothing, uniforms and personal equipment they need to serve. We’re now looking for a Site Supervisor to lead our Clothing Store operations at Oakey Army Barracks. Here’s what you’ll be doing
- Deliver high quality customer service by issuing kits, uniforms and equipment to Defence members
- Lead and supervise store staff, ensuring effective daily operations
- Conduct workplace inspections and maintain a safe and compliant work environment
- Receive and inspect incoming stock, issue equipment, process returns and maintain product quality standards
- Manage inventory accuracy, stock levels and regular stocktaking
- Monitor, verify and report operational performance against contract and Defence requirements
- Ensure compliance with Defence and Ventia policies, procedures and contractual obligations
- Act as the escalation point for any on-site issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to regional consistency in service delivery
Key skills & attributes
- Experience managing or supervising staff
- Strong computer skills, ideally with exposure to inventory or ERP systems
- Logistics, warehouse or stores experience (Defence experience highly regarded)
- High attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with Defence personnel and stakeholders
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport to move around independently on base

Special requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance
