The Opportunity
Join Ventia in partnership with the Australian Defence Force, based in Moorebank, and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of repair and maintenance services across a diverse range of plant and equipment.
In this position, you will coordinate maintenance activities, conduct quality audits and technical inspections, and ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with required standards. You will also build and maintain strong relationships with external service providers to ensure the efficient, timely, and high-quality repair and maintenance of equipment.

Key Accountabilities
- Support Schedulers and Planners to coordinate maintenance activities and achieve performance and quality targets
- Identify, resolve, and escalate safety, compliance, and maintenance issues as required
- Manage parts procurement and prepare work packs and quotations with approved subcontractors
- Verify subcontractor invoices and ensure accurate billing and documentation
- Provide subcontractors with required safety processes and ensure compliance
- Assist in sourcing subcontractors to support Defence asset maintenance
- Conduct technical inspections of components during repair and return
- Maintain accurate document control in line with Defence and Ventia requirements
- Work independently or within a team, applying sound judgement and communication skills
About You
- Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance
- Recognised Trade Certificate or Certificate III in a relevant trade (e.g. Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Refrigeration, Fitter/Armourer)
- Proven experience in maintenance management, quality audits, and technical inspections
- Demonstrated experience overseeing equipment repairs conducted by commercial service providers
- Strong supervisory capability and sound technical inspection skills
- Proficient in maintenance management systems and IT applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and SAP HANA
- Solid understanding of work health, safety, and security requirements, with a commitment to legislative compliance
- Current Class C (manual) driver’s licence; HR licence advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
