The Opportunity
Looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting entry level opportunity available within our Sydney Roads and Asset Performance Contract, arising from an internal promotion. This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position based in Arndell Park, with the potential for extension.
In this role, you will support the effective management of environmental risk by partnering with delivery and maintenance teams. You will identify environmental risks early in project and maintenance planning, coordinate required approvals, and assist teams and contractors with environmental documentation and training. The role also involves monitoring environmental performance and managing and investigating incidents to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities
- Manage environmental impacts (noise, vibration, dust, visual amenity) to protect surrounding communities and environments.
- Support community communications in partnership with the Community Engagement team.
- Build strong relationships with TfNSW and key regulatory stakeholders.
- Ensure environmental controls are planned and implemented in line with relevant specifications and approvals.
- Identify environmental risks early and prepare/review assessments, permits and CEMPs.
- Conduct inspections, investigate incidents, implement corrective actions and share lessons learned.
- Promote sustainability initiatives and support ISCA outcomes across projects and maintenance activities.
- Deliver environmental awareness training and contribute to risk workshops and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Comply with environmental management systems and uphold required environmental standards.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in environmental monitoring, planning, or site management.
- An enthusiastic and proactive approach, with a strong willingness to learn and develop.
- Proficiency in QGIS or ArcGIS (advantageous).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, corporate and site based teams, and subcontractors.
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Current and unrestricted Australian Class C Driver Licence.
- Construction White Card (desirable).
