About the role:
As Asset Information Coordinator, you’ll ensure asset information across our Asset Knowledge Management Systems is accurate, complete and accessible.
You’ll play a key role in transitioning project information into structured digital environments — linking drawings, GIS records and operational data to support planning, operations and customer responsiveness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the Asset Document Library, including metadata, classification, version control and traceability of asset documentation
- Supporting project teams to deliver complete, high-quality asset information at handover
- Conducting data quality checks across GIS, Maximo and related systems
- Coordinating digitisation and document management processes
- Supporting BIM and digital transformation initiatives
- Responding to internal and external asset information requests
This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure and digital systems — helping ensure the right information is available when it matters most.
About you:
You’re analytical, detail-oriented and confident working with complex asset data in a utilities, engineering or infrastructure environment.
You’ll bring:
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and maintaining asset or records information within utilities, engineering or infrastructure environments
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
- Experience managing large information sets or processes to ensure accuracy, quality and usability
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams
- Mechanical aptitude and confidence interpreting drawings, asset types and identifying critical data requirements
- Experience implementing digitisation, metadata and document management processes Experience with systems such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD and/or Maximo (desirable)
- Understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure and drawing lifecycles (design to as-constructed)
- A Certificate III or IV in Business, Information Management or a related discipline is desirable; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
