This role is supporting Brisbane Airport Corporation through the delivery of high-quality civil maintenance and construction works across both airside and landside environments. The role offers variety, ownership and the opportunity to work on unique airfield and pavement projects that directly contribute to safe airport operations.
Occasional night shift when required for airside works and participate in on call to support urgent airside repairs is required.

About the Role
As the Project Engineer you will lead and deliver civil maintenance and small-scale construction projects safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. These include road and pavement maintenance projects across runways, taxiways, carparks, signage, drainage and general civil works. You will –
- Develop scopes and prepare design briefs including supporting tenders/pricing and conduct constructability reviews
- Plan works – 2-week lookahead and long-term including managing procurement and coordinating resources
- Complete contract reporting, cost forecasting and claims certifications
- Conduct inspections and quality conformance checks and manage NCR process
- Build and nurture strong working relationships with the client, subcontractors and internal teams
- Attend weekly client meetings, site inspections and collaborate closely with supervisors and maintenance crews
- Champion safety and service excellence
Required Skills and Experience
- Civil engineering degree or similar
- Solid end to end project engineer experience preferably with roads/pavements/construction/civil
- Strong computer literacy
- Clear and concise communicator (verbally and written)
- Quality driven, accountable, proactive and motivated to deliver excellence
