The opportunity
As the Power Platform Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and supporting enterprise‑scale Power Platform capabilities that are secure, scalable and fit for purpose.
You’ll lead the implementation and ongoing management of governance controls, data loss prevention policies and technical services, while working closely with project teams and stakeholders across the organisation to drive safe and effective platform adoption. By providing expert technical guidance, reusable tools and best‑practice advice, you’ll help teams deliver compliant, high‑quality solutions that maximise value and support continuous improvement.
This role suits someone with strong technical expertise who enjoys collaborating across distributed teams to deliver outcomes at scale.
High-level duties include:
- Design, configure, and maintain Power Platform environments, ensuring effective management of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and approved connectors to support business processes securely and efficiently.
- Administer user accounts, manage permissions, and oversee licensing to ensure compliance with organizational policies and the appropriate use of Power Platform services across the organization.
- Implement and monitor security measures, ensuring the Power Platform environment adheres to regulatory requirements and internal security standards, including data loss prevention.
- Continuously monitor system performance, proactively identify and resolve issues, and optimize the Power Platform's performance for seamless user experience.
- Provide technical support and guidance to developers, assisting them in leveraging Power Platform tools effectively and offering platform-level troubleshooting for issues unrelated to specific solutions.
- Develop, enforce, and continuously refine governance policies and best practices to promote the secure, compliant, and consistent use of Power Platform throughout the organization.
- Oversee the creation, configuration, and maintenance of various Power Platform environments (development testing, production) to ensure smooth development testing, and deployment processes.
- Implement robust security controls, including role-based access control (RBAC), conditional access policies, and data loss prevention (DLP) measures, to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance.

Location and office arrangements: Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney – Other AU CSIRO sites considered
Salary: AU$100,103 – AU$113,251 per annum (pro rata for part-time), plus 15.4% superannuation

Appointment to this role is subject to provision of a national police check and may be subject to other security/medical/character requirements. The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Negative Vetting 1.
