About the Role
In this hands-on leadership position, you will supervise civil construction activities, manage work crews and subcontractors, and ensure safe, high quality, and efficient delivery of works. You will drive performance on site, mentor team members, and contribute to continuous improvement across the program of works. Duties include –
- Drive a strong safety culture across all work activities including prestarts, toolboxes, HSEQ performance checks etc.
- Work closely with Ventia, TMR, Contractors and key stakeholders
- Provide daily leadership and guidance across construction activities, mentoring and supporting team development and improvement ideas
- Champion best-for-network approaches to asset management
- Oversee QA and conformance tasks, including ITPs and checklists
- Plan and schedule work to meet deadlines and production targets, analysing performance, resource use and budgets
- Manage two-week lookahead schedules and daily site reporting
Required Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role it is essential that you have extensive civil construction experience and knowledge of TMR specifications along with a minimum Cert III Civil Construction, current drivers licence (preferable HR) and construction white card. You must also be able to demonstrate sound leadership and team coordination capability.
