The Opportunity
Based in Port Kembla, this is a high-impact role within the Rail Maintenance Team. In this position, you will be responsible for certifying track as fit for service following maintenance activities, as well as conducting mandatory audits across the rail network.

Key Accountabilities
- Perform inspections and maintenance activities in line with work management procedures and approved job plans
- Support the development and continuous improvement of procedures to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Deliver services in accordance with customer requirements, contractual agreements, and timelines
- Identify, report, and recommend effective solutions to issues within processes and systems
- Execute corrective actions and manage complaints under the guidance of the Team Coordinator, Leading Hand, or Team Leader
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, reducing costs, and enhancing quality
- Respond to customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring clear communication and resolution
- Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and currency of all relevant documentation and databases
About You
- Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure (required), with demonstrated competency in: TLIB3094 – Check and repair track geometry, TLIB3095 – Check and repair points and crossings, TLIB3099 – Examine track infrastructure, TLIB310 – Visually inspect track infrastructure
- Proven experience in rail maintenance, including routine track maintenance and construction
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
- Experience in a client-facing role
