About The Role
Due to an increase of work from our partners, Ventia’s Electricity and Gas division require a Project Coordinator to lead and deliver safe, compliant, and efficient project outcomes by driving excellence in Risk, Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental performance.
The role ensures effective planning, stakeholder engagement, and contractor management to achieve project objectives within budget, schedule, and regulatory requirements.
This is a permanent fulltime position based out of our Dandenong South offices.
Other responsibilities as required:
- Schedule and plan trades and site resources, such as welders, SAPN Network access permits for completion of work orders.
- Ensure site practices are consistent with Ventia and client methodology.
- Strategic analysis of crew and contractor performance, pricing schedules and ad-hoc requirements ensuring forecast contractor costs are realised to budget and time.
- Monitor and influence contractor performance by conducting system audits and ensuring regular contractor meetings are held where WHS, productivity and project financials are discussed and issues identified and either resolved or escalated.
- Provide monthly contractor performance reports as a required.
- Co-ordinate and conduct onsite inspections and document detailed scope of works.
- Facilitate coordinated delivery of field services and deliver to budget activity cost.
- Conduct onsite inspections and investigate for the approval of variations.
- Liaise with DPTI, Councils, Developers, to reduce risks.
- Monitor project productivity budgets, schedules and productivity, and if necessary, take appropriate action to ensure the projects are completed to that budget.
About You
The successful applicant will have experience working in a similar role, ideally within the utilities / construction industry space accompanied by:
- Experience with ERP software (particularly SAP / Ariba)
- Excel Intermediate to Advance skills
- Demonstrated experience at a project level in equivalent industry ideal
- Strong analytical skills to problem solve and provide innovation
- Clear insights to performance based on data
