Confluence Water is seeking an experienced Asset Planner to join our Asset Integration team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient planning, scheduling and coordination of maintenance and project works across our water and wastewater assets in partnership with Sydney Water.

About the Role
Reporting to the Centralised Services Team Lead, the Asset Planner is responsible for the end-to-end planning, scheduling and dispatch of work orders across maintenance and project services. You’ll act as a subject matter expert in planning systems, ensuring work packs are fully prepared, resources are optimised, and field crews are set up for success.
This role requires strong collaboration with internal teams, contractors and Sydney Water stakeholders to minimise rework, optimise scheduling and maximise productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule all aspects of maintenance and project works, including OM/FM/MPM activities
- Develop detailed, high-quality work packs including plant, equipment, materials, documentation and safety requirements
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate materials, isolations, permits and advanced scheduling
- Actively manage workflow queues, including reactive and corrective maintenance priorities
- Validate work order requests and allocations, identifying and resolving issues early
- Monitor and optimise work crew productivity, minimising repeat visits and travel time
- Conduct site-based planning activities including job walks, scoping and risk identification
- Ensure all pre-planning, safety and quality requirements are met prior to execution
- Continuously identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost savings and better resource utilisation
- Participate in the on-call roster and provide after-hours support as required
About You
You are highly organised, proactive and comfortable working in a complex, stakeholder-driven environment. You communicate clearly, plan thoroughly, and take ownership of outcomes.
You will bring:
- Relevant experience in asset planning, scheduling, maintenance or construction/project engineering
- Strong organisational, coordination and time management skills
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with field crews, supervisors and external stakeholders
- Well-developed written, verbal and IT skills
- The ability to adapt and prioritise in a fast-paced operational environment
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and zero harm outcomes
Requirements
- Unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
- Ability to travel between operational sites as required
- Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call roster
- Successful completion of a Police Check
