The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and customer focused professional to join our team in a permanent, full-time position based at Lone Pine Barracks, Singleton. The roles offer excellent opportunities for career development within the Defence industry, while contributing to a meaningful and mission driven environment.
The role is centred on delivering outstanding customer service to Defence personnel, while also providing essential tailoring services and supporting back-of-house operations, including stock management and manual handling within the uniform store.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality customer service, including uniform outfitting and enquiries
- Maintain accurate work orders, inventory records, and stock control systems
- Support daily store operations, including receiving, processing, and organising stock
- Conduct professional tailoring measurements, fittings, and basic alterations
- Perform garment repairs, including sewing badges, medals, and insignia
- Manage workflow and meet production deadlines
- Assist with stocktakes and maintain a clean, organised workspace
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory requirement)
- A strong customer service mindset and professional communication skills
- Experience in retail and/or warehousing
- Experience in clothing measurement and fitting
- Experience in garment alterations
- Knowledge of clothing store operations and inventory management
- Proven ability to schedule tasks and meet deadlines
- Confident use of Microsoft Office applications for record keeping
