Key Accountabilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Repair, refurbish, replace, test, and tag electrical equipment, including emergency and exit lighting systems.
- Complete all required maintenance, inspection, and Quality Assurance (QA) documentation accurately.
- Report incidents, hazards, spills, and near misses to the Site Supervisor.
- Assist with spare parts, consumables, and store management activities.
- Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and plant items in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Follow all safety, quality, technical, regulatory, and contract requirements, ensuring approvals are obtained before work commences.
- Support the Electrical Supervisor with work planning, scheduling, job coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in training activities and supervise subcontractors where required.
- Undertake additional duties as directed.
About You
- Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications
- Post-trade Technician Certificate
- Hold a current driver’s licence
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across integrated mechanical and electrical systems
- Sound knowledge of control systems and PLCs
- High Voltage Safe Work Practices and/or High Voltage Switching certification
- Confined Space Entry certification
- Experience working from Elevated Work Platforms (EWP)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with PLC and SCADA systems
- Extensive maintenance experience within the relevant industry or trade field
- Ability to coordinate, supervise, and direct work execution effectively
