A great opportunity for a Trades Assistant (Marine) to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Ross Island, Townsville QLD.
The Trades Assistant (Marine) is responsible for assisting with maintenance activities on a vast range of exciting Defence vehicles and assets.

About the role
- Carry out paint blasting activities
- Helping trades personnel with all types of work in the workshop
- Assisting in maintenance and storeroom tasks
- Maintaining the work area in a neat and orderly manner
- Operating plant and equipment where qualified and licenced to do so
About you
- Industrial painting experience is highly regarded.
- Hold a current Driver’s License (C class, manual, open)
- Forklift licence required
- Confined space entry desirable
- Have a great attitude, a good work ethic and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Computer Literacy using Microsoft Office products (especially Excel)
- Must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
