About the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager the Environmental Scientist will collect and report data on petroleum fuel sites across Brisbane Metro Area.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited:
- Coordinate schedule, as well as weekly project mobilisations
- Gauge and sample groundwater wells, detecting any fuel contamination
- Annotate site maps and conduct site inspection
- Instrument operation and maintenance
- Conduct well maintenance and repairs
- Completion of chain of custody paperwork
About you:
You will demonstrate a strong ability to work autonomously, alongside the following:
- Full Driver’s License
- 1+ years’ experience in groundwater monitoring and/or contaminated land experience, environmental sampling, equipment calibration and maintenance
- Highly practical and solutions-focused
- Hands-on experience using hand tools and environmental monitoring equipment
- Proven ability to work independently in the field while meeting targets and deadlines
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
