About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Powerhouse Supervisor to join our team, reporting directly to the Powerhouse Superintendent. As the frontline leader, you'll be accountable for managing Powerhouse operations and overseeing maintenance activities to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and Alcoa standards.
This is a shift base relief role on a 12 hour shift pattern including days and nights and coverage where required.
About the Opportunity:
Oversee safe, continuous power station operations, including overhauls and projects
Maintain and troubleshoot plant systems to ensure reliability and readiness
Lead and develop team performance, including training, assessment, and feedback
Ensure compliance with safety, legislative, and high-risk licensing requirements
Coordinate with stakeholders and providers to optimize utilities and power trading
Manage operations, contractors, budgets, and safety across all powerhouse activities

What can you bring to the role:
A Worksafe High Risk Licence for Advanced Boilers (BA) and Turbine Operation (TO)
Certificate 4 in Power Generation.
Experienced in Power station operations;
Previous experience in Boiler operations, both Gas and Diesel fired feeding steam Turbines and generators
Previous experience in the operation of Gas Turbines with Heat Recovery Steam Generators
Tagging, Confined space entry and Hot work Permit experience.
Understanding of High Voltage systems and regulatory requirements.
Experience in electrical market performance and trading.
Self-motivation to work both semi-autonomously and collaboratively in a small dynamic team
Leadership experience in Operations with a strong track record in safety.
Schedule 26 - Statutory Supervisor accreditation required.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership position or have worked in a similar operation or industry to Alcoa.
