About the Project
Supporting Seqwater, Ventia deliver preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance along with electrical, mechanical and instrumental services across its water network. Servicing across 35 water treatment plants, 95 pump stations and 26 referable dams.
About the Positions
Apply your mechanical skills and safety-first approach as a Water Industry Worker, helping keep the Seqwater network running smoothly across our Central region.
In this hands-on role, you will look after warehousing activities of one of our depots at Richlands, Brisbane as well as spending time out in the field supporting essential operations with our trade’s teams.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Warehouse activities relevant to the regional depot requirements
- Maintain and build water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Operate and service valves, hydrants, pumps, and pipelines.
- Safely handle plant and equipment for trenching, lifting, and installations.
- Assist with dogging and rigging tasks.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults.
- Log activities via mobile devices and CMMS systems.
- Champion safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Required Skills and Experience
- Certificate II or III in Water Operations OR relevant experience in the water industry.
- Construction White Card.
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence (MR/HR desirable).
- Forklift Licence (LF) required
- Experience in water, wastewater, or civil infrastructure maintenance.
- Basic computer literacy for digital work order management.
- Strong safety focus and ability to work in a team environment.
- Excavator ticket (RIIMPO320F or equivalent), desirable.
- Dogging High Risk Work Licence (DG) desirable
- Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights certifications (or willingness to obtain).
