About the Role
In this role, you will take ownership of maintenance and construction projects ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while working in a dynamic operational environment with high stakeholder expectations.
You will work closely with the Contract Manager, site teams, subcontractors, and client, playing a key role in both project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives. Duties include end to end project management while ensuring quality, safety and environmental compliance across all works.
- Coordinate works programs including two-week lookaheads and long-term planning
- Manage subcontractors, procurement and onsite delivery activities
- Monitor project costs, preparing forecasts and supporting monthly reporting
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to drive successful outcomes
- Support defect management, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide technical advice and support to supervisors and delivery teams
Required Skills and Experience
You are a driven civil engineer who thrives in a fast paced, site-based environment and enjoys working closely with teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor of Engineering (civil) or similar
- Sound experience in road maintenance, asset management or civil construction
- Experience working in maintenance environments (roads, pavements, drainage)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work autonomously while leading by example
- Sound knowledge of quality processes (e.g. NCR, LOT, RFI)
- Current drivers licence and construction white card
- Ideally you will also possess experience with asset management systems (Maximo, Asset Vision)
