The Role
Ventia are seeking an experienced Storeperson to join our Venture Smart team in Jandakot. Based out of the Main Roads Depot, this position will report to the Store Supervisor and see you responsible for assisting the smooth operation of the store function to enable the operational team to perform their delivery activities safely and effectively.
You will need to be reliable, organised, self-motivated, and safety conscious, with the ability to work both independently and in a team. A strong care factor is essential, with a focus on accurate, safe handling, storage, and dispatch of stock.
This is a full-time permanent position working a shift roster:
Monday to Friday between 06:00am - 03:30pm & Monday to Friday between 07:00am - 02:30pm
The pay rate for this position is $38.39 - $40.31 per /hour + superannuation plus overtime opportunties (Depending on experience).
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Timely and accurate management of stock requests, transfers and returns whilst assisting in the ongoing monitoring of stock levels
- Tracking stores materials for warranty returns ensuring accurate documentation
- High reach forklift activities: Loading, delivery and movement of parts between warehouse locations
- Managing the physical movement of goods within the store including use of forklifts whilst applying sound warehousing and housekeeping practices
- Participating in regular stock-take
- Receipt, check off and storage of deliveries and ongoing warehouse stock location maintenance
- Maintain yard laydowns for stocking and staging, including waste segregation and disposal
Skills & Experience:
- High Risk Work License – LF (Forklift)
- Experience with both Counterbalance and High Reach Forklifts
- WA Driver’s License (MR class – Highly desirable)
- Experience in an equivalent role dealing with quality assurance and control, logistics, and scheduling
- Prior experience using SAP or a similar system – Highly desirable
- Strong understanding of the Microsoft Suite, particularly using Word, Outlook & Excel
