Ventia has over 35 years experience working with Defence and has been delivering Firefighting Services for 26 years. With a new contract awarded in 2024 for 6 years and up to two additional 2 year extentions - now is the time to join Ventia’s dedicated Fire Services Team.
We are currently seeking a Firefighter to join the Fire and Rescue operations at Woomera.
About the role
This exciting position will see you work as part of a team of Firefighters who are responsible for responding to incidents including airfield, structural and bushfire management.

You will perform duties as directed by the Station & Sub Station Officers including but not limited to:
- Maintaining operational readiness in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Ensuring that all relevant administrative duties associated with operational duties are performed.
- Complying with operational health and safety requirements.
- Undertaking training and drills as required to maintain operational readiness.
You must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Department of Defence Security Clearance to apply.
Skills and Experience
You must supply evidence of the following qualifications with your application: (Only complete applications will be assessed). The following minimum qualifications are required:
PUA20613 Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)
PUA30613 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)
