Ventia is seeking a qualified Transmission Linesworker to perform construction and maintenance work on transmission networks across Australia. The role is based from our Wingfield, South Australia depot, with travel required to various project locations throughout Australia. Consideration will be given to candidates living in other capital cities across Australia.
Employment Conditions
- Permanent full-time employment
- $59.76 per hour (all-purpose rate) plus applicable overtime and penalty rates
- Living Away From Home Allowance (LAHA) and accommodation provisions when working away
- Superannuation, leave and other entitlements in accordance with the Ventia Australia SA Power EA 2025
Key Responsibilities
- Perform transmission line construction and maintenance activities
- Work on transmission infrastructure operating from 66kV to 500kV
- Install, maintain and repair poles, conductors, cables and associated electrical equipment
- Undertake climbing, lifting, trenching and elevated work platform activities
- Operate plant, vehicles and equipment required for transmission line work
- Complete electronic and paper-based records and reports
- Comply with all safety procedures, policies and work instructions
Skills and Experience Required
- Certificate III in ESI Transmission Overhead (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience in transmission line construction and maintenance
- Demonstrated experience in live line stick and/or barehand transmission work
- Strong knowledge of transmission network safety requirements and safe work practices
- Additional high-voltage, switching or high-risk work licences/certifications are highly regarded
- Ability to travel and work on projects throughout Australia
