About the Role
The Superintendent, Regional Environmental Data Systems and Reporting is responsible to lead the strategic development, integration, and continuous improvement of Alcoa Australia’s environmental data management and reporting frameworks. This role is essential in ensuring our data systems are robust, reliable, and fully aligned with regulatory obligations, corporate standards, and our sustainability commitments.
As a senior leader within the Regional Environment Team, you will oversee data governance and performance reporting across our Australian operations, enabling transparency, data integrity, and informed decision-making for the business. This role focuses on the evolution and governance of our environmental data platforms.
Key activities include:
Leading the development and integration of environmental data systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Establishing and maintaining frameworks that ensure data integrity, traceability, and compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
Overseeing the integration of platforms including Cority, GIS, EDMS, and reporting dashboards.
Leading the delivery of regional environmental performance reports and analytics to provide operational insights.
Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of regulatory environmental reporting and sustainability disclosures.
Identifying opportunities for automation and digital innovation in our data systems.
Mentoring a team of data and reporting professionals, fostering a high-performance and accountable culture.
Operating across multiple sites and diverse data platforms, you will need to apply strong governance to balance data quality and reporting timeliness. This role requires navigating evolving legislative and sustainability reporting requirements while ensuring systems remain practical and usable for site teams.

What you can bring to the role
Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or a related discipline (or equivalent extensive experience).
Proven experience leading environmental data systems across multi-site operations and integrating platforms such as Cority, EDMS, and GIS.
Previous experience in environmental management, data validation (QA/QC), and supporting internal and external audits.
Strong knowledge of Western Australian and Federal environmental legislation and reporting obligations.
Demonstrated ability to lead geographically dispersed teams and influence senior leadership on strategic data initiatives.
