About the Opportunity
Ventia is seeking a Facility and Assets Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of properties under our Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA) contract. These public assets include schools, hospitals, courts, police stations, and other government facilities.
This full-time role falls within the health portfolio and will be based at the Flinders Medical Centre, with scope across the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN), including its satellite sites. You’ll be responsible for managing reactive and preventative maintenance, coordinating small projects, and ensuring the continued operation and efficiency of these essential health facilities. The role includes participation in an on-call roster, with an associated allowance.

Key Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities in maintenance and capital works to meet commercial goals and optimise asset lifecycle costs.
- Lead asset maintenance planning and contribute to strategic initiatives, including Asset Business Plans and broader planning objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, stakeholders, and clients to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Analyse maintenance data (e.g., callouts, reactive works) to inform preventative schedules and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary contact for all technical, facilities, and asset management matters, overseeing contractor performance to ensure delivery meets safety, quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Support compliance through audits, inspections, and accurate record-keeping to monitor subcontractor performance.
Skills and Qualifications
- Trade background desirable, with a project management qualification or relevant industry experience.
- Experienced leader in facilities management, with a deep understanding of maintenance principles in a subcontracted environment.
- Strong ability to foster and maintain collaborative stakeholder relationships, supporting effective service delivery and contractual outcomes.
- Skilled in guiding sub-contractor performance, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Highly organised with expertise in financial management, including contract oversight, reporting, and accountability.
