Ventia have a newly created position for experienced Estimating & Pricing Specialist to produce accurate costings, maintain pricing structures and provide commercial insights that strengthen decision‑making and drive operational success for the contract.
This is a Permanent Full-time position based out of the Geelong region, but open to applicants from other areas of Victoria.
About the Role
In this pivotal role, you’ll prepare high‑level estimates, develop detailed cost models, and ensure pricing aligns with contractual schedules and market rates. You’ll work closely with operational, commercial, finance, supplier and subcontractor stakeholders to validate assumptions, manage rate cards, and support variations, claims and additional works.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate estimates, quotations and pricing aligned to contract requirements.
- Develop labour, material and subcontractor cost models, validating assumptions for accuracy.
- Maintain material catalogues, rate cards, cost libraries and pricing templates.
- Provide commercial support for variations, claims and financial impact assessments.
- Analyse cost trends, variances and estimate performance to drive continuous improvement.
- Engage with internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing inputs.
- Enhance estimating processes, tools and templates to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with governance, audit and pricing frameworks.
About You
- Strong background in estimating, pricing, cost analysis.
- Ability to interpret scopes, specifications and technical documentation.
- Skilled in developing structured cost models and managing rate schedules.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical capability and process‑driven mindset.
- Experience in essential services, facilities management, maintenance or infrastructure (advantageous).
