FIFO Crane Operator

Ventia are seeking to engage a number of safety-focused Crane Operator to join our Rig & Wells team. This role will see you based I the field supporting our Workover team with various tasks and duties associated within our Rig & Wells sector.
These are casual ongoing positions on a 2:2 rosters, with flights / accommodation provided.
The payrate for this role is $989.88 per day (flat rate)
Key Responsibilities
- Operate mobile cranes safely and efficiently
- Conduct pre-start inspections and equipment checks
- Lift and move loads in accordance with lift plans
- Communicate effectively with doggers, riggers, and supervisors during lifting operations
- Maintain awareness of site conditions, hazards, and exclusion zones
- Complete required operational and inspection records
- Comply with all company policies, safe work procedures, and legislative requirements
- Assist with securing equipment on trailers for transport
- Potential to operate trucks
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience operating cranes in mining, construction, industrial, or heavy industry environments
- Strong understanding of lifting operations, crane load charts, and lifting equipment requirements.
- Ability to interpret lift plans, risk assessments, and work instructions
- Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to make safe operational decisions
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- HC truck driving experience preferred
Qualifications
- Current High Risk Work Licence – Crane Operation (CO)
- Valid driver's licence
- HC truck drivers licence preferred
