About the Project
Gold Coast Infrastructure Solutions (GCIS) is a Joint Venture between Ventia and Downer that has been awarded a 10-year contract to deliver water and wastewater repairs, maintenance services, and renewals project works for the City of Gold Coast. Having recently celebrated our third anniversary, the partnership now has seven years remaining on the contract.
About the Role
Due to the continued expansion of works, we are seeking an experienced and driven Electrical Project Engineer to deliver brownfield projects across the full project lifecycle, from planning and design, through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity based at Bundall, QLD with travel to sites across the Gold Coast region.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- You will play a vital role by providing technical expertise, guidance and advice to the operations team ensuring ongoing improvement of work processes and service delivery.
- Develop project documentation including technical reports, scope of works, construction methodologies and project performance/progress.
- Review project documents for compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
- Implement quality assurance into project delivery.
- Assist with tender documentation, process and procurement activities.
- Ensure design is completed within expected timeframes, checked against capital budgets during development and documented accordingly.
- Assist with the development of a project budget and ensure financial targets are met without compromise to the business environment, community and client satisfaction KPIs.
About You
- Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia).
- Solid knowledge of Australian electrical Standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- 3+ years of similar experience, within the water and/or wastewater will be highly regarded. Adjacent asset-intensive industry experience would also be considered: oil and gas, mining as well as industrial manufacturing and processing.
- Strong stakeholder management including subcontractor management
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage schedules using MS Project
- Understanding of project budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
